Skyhooks legend and ARIA hall of fame inductee Bob “Bongo” Starkie is bringing his tour, featuring an all-star Aussie supergroup, to Newcastle.

Bob has been re-emerging as a formidable guitarist over the last few years touring a riff-heavy show of 50’s-60’s classics and hits from Skyhooks.

In the 90s Bob was inducted into the Aria Hall Of Fame as an acknowledgement of the significant contribution he and his fellow band members in Skyhooks had made to Australian music industry. Now it seems the industry is giving back – Bob’s band for the tour features some of Australia’s most talented musos including Lisa Edwards on lead vocals.

Lisa Edwards had a massive hit in the early 90’s with a song called Cry from her album Thru the Hoop. Although Lisa is probably best known for her work as a long-standing backing vocalist in John Farnham’s touring band.

This is basically your chance to see one of Australia’s most influential guitarists on stage with a band that would leave most touring acts to shame. Don’t miss it.
