The Sydney Comedy Festival is just around the corner. It hits the Civic Theatre on Friday 5th September. In the meantime we profiling some of the comedians on the line up. Today we find out a little more about Nikki Britton.
After winning Comedy on the Rox’ “Quest for the Best” competition in 2010, Nikki Britton has since become a regular at Sydney’s Comedy Store and has toured clubs around Australia and the UK. Nikki’s debut solo show, Flaw Plan, gained stellar reviews at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, and sold out its season in the Sydney Comedy Festival in 2012.
Nikki recently performed at the Sydney Opera House in the unique physical theatre show, Circumspecto and has several TV and short film credits. She spends her days working as Captain Starlight with the Starlight Children’s Foundation, entertaining seriously ill kids and their families. Trained as an actor and dancer, Nikki also studied Clown with theatre master, Philippe Gaulier, in Paris, which is evident in her unique, physically energised style of comedy.
