The final of the Passport To Airlie at The Wickham Park Hotel last Thursday was stellar night of live music with the four heat winners – Deanna Rose, Buzzard Mix, Plastic Voyage, Garth and The ePrentices and Wild Card winners Manana. They all delivered killer sets with some of the tightest scores of the competition.
Winners Manana took the hard way to the finals coming second in round 4 and earning a place in the Wild Card round a week later, blitzing that with what was arguably the set of the heats, then taking out the final with another killer set that had the big crowd rocking.
Manana will now be joining a strong contingent of locals including Annie O’Dee and the Hotshots, Bad Luck Kitty, Tim Rossington and Grizzle Train appearing at the fabulous Airlie Beach Music Festival.
Airlie Beach Music Festival kicks off on November 5th with 74 bands appearing over 4 days including the likes of 10CC, Richard Clapton, Toni Childs and The Black Sorrows all over looking the beautiful Whitsundays Islands.
Newcastle Live will be on the ground covering the festival with daily updates and galleries.
