Newy band Stone Empire have been added to the line up on the UBERFEST Australian Tour. The music festival making it’s way around Australia in 2015 will hit Brisbane , Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

The guys from Stone Empire have been kicking a few goals this year with three of their songs hitting the Triple J Unearthed Top 100. You can hear cuts from their EP, “Enclosure” at the Cambridge on Friday night (Oct 24) when they open for AC/DC cover band Damnation.

The band told us they are “getting active” with other local bands like Annie O’dee and Heart Attack and Vine in an attempt to create a “band camaraderie” and “generate a scene throughout Newcastle”.

Stone Empire originated in 2011 when lead Vocalist and Guitarist Justin Dorin found himself in Newcastle “with a head full of music and a heart full of pain”. Justin  began turning that pain into lyrics, guitar riffs and drum beats he has in his head. Pulling together a band who could all see the raw passion, Stone Empire was formed.

You can find out more about the band by visiting their Facebook page or website.
