The third annual Newcastle Writers Festival will be held from 19 to 22 March 2015, and is set to feature some of Australia’s best and brightest writers and public figures.
Newcastle Writers Festival will take place across various inner-city venue, with Newcastle City Hall as the main festival hub.
Festival organiser, Rosemarie Milsom comments, “I want to create an eclectic, welcoming festival that celebrates words and ideas, as well as the depth of local writing talent.”
The festival aims to shine the spotlight on local and nationally significant literary talent, while providing an inspiring and supportive atmosphere for all writers, young and old.
Along with talks from notable authors such as Helen Garner, Les Murray, Don Watson and Michael Robotham, there will be writing workshops, poetry readings, discussion groups, and a number of book launches across the three days.
