She’s the most important woman in your life, and you’ve left it to the last minute to organise something to do for the big day (Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 8 remember!). Well, we’re here to help. Below you’ll find some “last minute” ideas.
TAKE YOUR MUM TO MARKET
Haven’t planned something special for the woman who inspires you this Sunday yet? Give her a call and make a date to head to a special MOTHER’S DAY market at The Impossible.
Come through our flower arch and explore through the stunning handcrafted trimmings for inside and outside the home, wellbeing products and essential oils to soothe, art to inspire, boutique clothing to impress, locally designed accessories to keep close to your heart and exotic treasures from India and beyond to fill your dreams. Mother’s Day wouldn’t be complete without stunning blooms so we present to you Pushing Pansies – a brand new online florist and interior decor concept store. With artistically structured floral arrangements and the passion for providing eco-concious home decor, the sense of style from the two sisters behind this initiative speaks of an individualistic spirit that dares to be different.
The most talented kids in town will be putting on a show like no other, when Reynolds & Co take the reigns for our entertainment. Enjoy the feel-good vibes from this up-and-coming crop of fresh new talent.

Mums will be treated to a glass of Peacock Lane by Samantha Wills Premium Cuvee on arrival with beautiful music by Crocq Trio.
A delectable selection of lunch & gourmet desserts will be served from a Chef’s table, spoiling Mum for choice.
An Enchanted Forest activity station will keep youngsters entertained by transforming them into creatures of the forest with face paint & helping them make their very own gifts for Mum to take home.
Bookings are essential.
PLAY HER A SYMPHONY
The University of Newcastle Orchestra will perform Anton Dvoraks famous Gypsy Song “Songs my Mother Taught Me” as a centre piece of their special Mother’s Day Concert. The concert will also feature two emerging Newcastle artists Ashlee Woodgate (soprano) and songwriter Teagan McCaig, both are past and current students of The Conservatorium. Songs by the icon songwriter Franz Schubert will be sung and immediately followed by an original composition in present day songwriting giving the audience a chance to travel over two centuries and compare the creative essence of the song writing genre.
CHARM HER WITH DAVE CARTER
Local music legend Dave Carter will hit the Rooftop Stage at Westfield Kotara for Mother’s Day. Think smooth tunes, plenty of personality, and casual rooftop vibes.
