Karise Eden first captured the nation’s attention in 2012 when she won the television series ‘The Voice’ at the age of 19 with a uniquely soulful yet powerful vocal style. She’ll deliver a rare public performance at Wests New Lambton on Wednesday, 15th of July.
2014 saw Karise return to the industry she was catapulted into with the release of her sophomore album ‘Things I’ve Done’. She wrote 11 of the 12 songs about her own life experiences – a turbulent life that the ABC’s Australian Story covered in an exclusive TV special called ‘Vanishing Act’ that pulled an audience of 1.3 million, the ABC’s highest ratings since their special on Kerry Packer. It gave a fresh insight into Karise’s troubled past and the life experiences that helped mould her astounding, soulful voice that she refers to as a “lion’s roar”.
In June 2015, Karise Eden will begin her tour of Australia with her new band performing songs from her new album Things I’ve Done, a selection of songs from her debut album My Journey, and a few surprises.
