Oz Music legends Brian Cadd, Marcia Hines, Russell Morris, Leo Sayer and John Paul Young are touring the country with the Apia Good Times Tour.
In it’s sixth year, the tour kicks off in Darwin before weaving its way through the country. The gang will hit Newcastle on Thursday 7 June for a gig in the Civic Theatre before heading down south before finishing the tour in Hobart.
Each artist will play a solo set of their hits before joining in a finale with all five legends sharing the stage.
Singer, songwriter, producer Brian Cadd had hits with A Little Ray of Sunshine and the soundtrack to the classic Morning of the Earth surf movie. He’s written for some of the world’s musical heavyweights including Joe Cocker, Ringo Starr and the Glen Campbell.
Marcia Hines last dazzled Newcastle with her performance in Velvet in the Spiegeltent with proof that her voice is just improving with her decade’s long career. Whether it’s Music is my Life, You, or Fire and Rain, Marcia’s songs always brings a smile to an audience’s face.
Russell Morris’s iconic tunes include The Real Thing, Wings of an Eagle and Sweet, Sweet Love and he’s continued to draw accolades with recent blues and roots releases.
Leo Sayer will have the audience singing in their seats along to You Make Me Feel Like Dancing and Thunder in my Heart. But did you know that he’s also an acclaimed songwriter? He’s written for Tina Turner, Dolly Parton and Roger Daltry!
John Paul Young’s Love Is In The Air is pretty much an anthem now. He’s not Yesterday’s Hero by any stretch of the imagination.
If it's on in Newcastle, it's on Newcastle Live
