Tipping his hat to the great Mississippi delta bluesmen of the 1930s, Frank Sultana And The Sinister Kids have been gaining notoriety as an explosive live act right across the country. Tonight (April 17) the show rolls into The Stag & Hunter in Mayfield.
With influences ranging from Son House and Skip James, through to Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones, as well as more contemporary artists like Tom Waits and Nick Cave, Frank Sultana dwells comfortably in this vintage stylistic world, where the song is still king, and nothing beats a great story
Over the last 12 to 18 months, Frank Sultana and the Sinister Kids have been regularly playing some of the best rooms in Sydney and Melbourne, and have been ‘discovered’ by many a punter, when opening for the likes of the Snowdroppers, Mojo Juju, Brothers Grim, Kira Puru and the Bruise, Graveyard Train, Blackwater Fever and The Fumes amongst others.
