Sunshine Coast born and bred, Dale, Cale, Dan, Jimmy and Johnny have generated a huge following throughout Australia and New Zealand with their relentless touring, messages of cultural respect and solidarity. They’re headed to Newcastle’s Cambridge Hotel on November 28.
The ‘Eloquence’ tour is one of the largest to date for the ‘Bridges’ and will lead into the release of their 5th studio recording in early 2015 entitled ‘Creatures of Leisure’.
The band, who formed in 2009, base themselves in the hills of the Sunshine Coast. Their relaxed and peaceful lifestyle, together with funky rockin’ reggae influences from The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Powderfinger, Led Zeppelin and Katchafire, all blend together to give you ‘The Floating Bridges’ experience – high energy ripping guitar licks mixed with earthy beats, percussion and catchy lyrics.
Throughout their career, ‘The Floating Bridges’ have supported the likes of John Butler Trio, Katchafire, Jimmy Barnes, The Beautiful Girls and Kingswood, while performing at countless music festivals, including Woodford Folk Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, Big Pineapple Music Festival and the Ocean Street World Festival.
