Stand up comedian Matty B, is returning back home, bring the people of Newcastle a rare, two-day season of his sell-out debut show, Flanno Worries. Performing at The Royal Exchange on December 11th and 12th with the show that toured as part of this years Sydney Fringe Festival.
Returning to his roots, and merging his street performance background, with his intellectual comedic foresight, Matty B’s Flanno Worries: A Story of Success and Failure is part one man play, part musical and part bush poetry, written and performed with the sensibility of a stand-up comedian.
The show follows the story of Neville, a man down on his luck until he has an encounter with a bogan angel who offers him the opportunity to fulfil all of his dreams. Using lyrical language and creating atmosphere with accompaniment playing his acoustic guitar, Matty B takes you on a dark and dirty path into the worst parts of the human psyche in this ludicrous and absurd journey of a man who gets given the world but always wants more.
After recording his debut show, Philosophical Bogan in Newcastle in 2014, Matty has been establishing himself on the national comedy circuit as a unique and comfortably engaging performer. He is excited to be bringing a brand new show with a brand new direction back to where it all started. Comedy fans who will have seen Matty B regularly at local pub and R.S.L club gigs now have the opportunity to see his latest offering.
