Performances 9 June to 24 June – book today at ypt.org.au/book-online
Welcome to an average day in the life of Charlie Brown, from bright uncertain morning to hopeful starlit evening. It’s a day made up of little bits of lots of days – Valentine’s Day to Beethoven Day, from wild optimism to utter despair, and home for supper.
The whole gang is here: bossy Lucy, hopelessly in love but ignored by piano prodigy Schroeder, perfectionist Sally mocking blanket-toting Linus, Snoopy in the doghouse, and Charlie Brown himself – with his life complicated unbearably by the distant presence of his one true love, the ‘little red-haired girl,’ who is always just out of sight.
You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown was presented on Broadway in 1999, with Kristin Chenoweth winning a Tony Award for her role as Sally Brown.
Whether you’re keen to fly with the Red Baron, moon over the Moonlight Sonata, or just do your best to find “Happiness,” You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a crowd-pleasing classic.
