Newcastle’s Leading Art & Design Market will will bring Civic Park alive on November 18th with the first in the series of three Christmas Markets. Welcome in the Christmas season and shop local and handmade this Christmas.

The Olive Tree Market features a vast array of local artisans, creatives, musicians, and community minded folk with a beating heart of sustainability, with new and unique stalls on offer at each market date.

On November 18th wander through the beautiful grounds of Civic Park, meet the makers, get to know the people who create the amazing goods on offer, hear their recommendations and contribute to social enterprise. Stanouts on the day will include craetives like illustrator Trevor Dickinson, ceramicist It’s A Public Holiday, textile artist Bob Window, jewellery designer Jika whose work is created from repurposed silver and found stones and slow fashion designers Publisher Textiles whose latest range features stunning hand screen printed textiles from remote indigenous communities. With 145+ stalls, market goers are spoiled for choice.

Bring the whole family to The Olive Tree Market on November 18 and see free performances of Franks Fantastic fairy Tale Theatre. They’re a travelling puppet theatre from Maitland, that tell traditonal fairy tales in new and exciting ways for modern kids, and are gaurenteed to have the kids smiling and adults entertained while sipping their coffee.

Find unique, handmade gifts for that really mean something for the special people in your life, meet with friends at Civic Park to share some gourmet artisan food from the many street food trucks, and relax under a tree listenting to the soulful tunes from some of Newcastle’s best independant musicians.
