Lachlan Kelly is a Young Newcastle based drummer and private drum teacher that has been playing for over 10 years with 3 years of gigging experience. With influences such as David Garibaldi, Larnel Lewis, Gavin Harrison, Thomas Lang, Chad Smith, and Dave Grohl, Lachlan’s playing has a unique fusion of tight gospel Chops with a laid back groove. Whilst studying a bachelor of Music for 2 and a half years, he has been taught from Newcastle artist, Adam Manning. With Adam’s knowledge on rudiments and musicality, it has helped mould Lachlan’s playing style and skyrocketed his performance Skills.

Brock Carey has spend the last 3 years at the Newcastle Conservatorium exploring countless styles of music to create his own distinct sound, influenced by World Music, Blues, Jazz and Funk music. Brock and his band of talented musicians will showcase this vast variety of styles and will be combining them in an unforgettable and energetic performance.

Darren Kelly will be playing all his favourite influences, which include a wide range of styles – From Zac Brown, to Dusty Springfield, Miles Davis, Vulfpeck, Jaco Pastorius, Marvin Gaye and Jackson 5. Originally a drummer of 20 years, Darren has relished his time at the Conservatorium over the past 3 years, which enabled him to co-build the successful local covers band, The Hummingbirds, and is now a touring band member of multi award winning artist Drew Mcalister.
