The Gum Ball 2018 – 27-29 April

The festival is located in secluded bush at Belford, in the middle of the Hunter Valley. It kicks off on a Friday afternoon and rolls all the way through to Sunday. Unchanged from previous years, it’s still camping, BYO, very family friendly, one artist at a time on the main stage, plenty of things to see and do. Plenty of things to not have to do too.

Gum Ball Camping

Gum Ball is a three-day camping festival, but however, you choose to do so is completely up to you. The camping ground literally overlooks the festival and most punters choose to park directly next to their campsite. It’s all on a first in best-dressed basis for location, so get in early to secure your home away from home for the two-night, three-day stay. Caravans are allowed but, if your rig is over 20ft, an additional permit is needed.

Gum Ball Food & Drink

One of the best things about Gumball, and Dashville by association, is the faith they place in their punters. The entire festival is BYO (with the exception of glass of course) meaning you can stock the esky with a weekend full of tinnies, and enough snacks to last you a lifetime. No fires are allowed however feel free to fire up the gas bottle and cook up a storm. If you’re like us though, and would prefer to survive leave the cooking to the experts, there are some incredible food options available. There’s also a licenced venue on sight.

Gum Ball is family friendly…

Gumball is a completely family friendly event. The entire property turns into a haven for free range kids to run wild and simply have a whole lot of fun. With a fully sized skate ramp, circus activities, kid’s workshops, the possibilities for the little ones are endless. There is also a specific childminding service available, but get in quick because (understandably) spaces are limited!
