Hailing from the country music capitol of Australia, Tamworth born songstress, Deanna Rose will showcase her ‘power folk’ at the Lass O’Gowrie Hotel on Saturday the 24th of October.
Deanna’s voice, guitar and ukulele will be backed on the night by George Calligeros on bass and Moose aka Stu Pearce on drums.
“Yes I write songs, but I’m constantly sheepish about claiming ownership of them…they flow when I play, I sit, l let my mind go blank and I start to sing…most of the time it’s my troubles that come out…” she said.
With music inspired by Jewel, Bat For Lashes, Jeff Buckley, Norah Jones and Janis Joplin Deanna’s captivating voice creates honest unpretentious music that if often crafted on the spot, meaning you won’t hear the same version of a song twice.
