Central brings live music to the heart of the city

Newcastle Live -

Music

Weekly gigs are back at Central Bar in Newcastle! In May, their historic building in King St (once home to a Methodist Church and later a theatre company) again reverberated with the sounds of musos plying their trade every week. Now the bar is turning it up a notch with performances from some of Newcastle’s most loved artists as well as exclusive performances from acts like Aussie singer songwriter, Alex Lloyd.

The Atmosphere

If you’ve never been in to Central Bar you may be surprised to find that many of the historic features of the building remain – Including breath-taking chandeliers and sweeping staircases. This is one of the best backdrops for a gig we’ve seen in ages.

The Food

The food is on point too, with the kitchen offering a menu that ranges from snacks and delicious share plates to signature mains. Our tip is to head straight to the burger section. They’re honestly that good.
