An autonomous weekend for Dave Carter

Newcastle Live -

Music

Local music icon, Dave Carter steps out on his own this weekend with solo performances at the Lambton Park Hotel on Friday night (Sept 19) and again on Saturday night (Sept 20) at the Iron Horse Inn in Cardiff.

A regular on the local scene you could be forgiven for forgetting that Dave has been performing around the country for over three decades. He’s played, or sung on countless albums, singles, soundtracks, TV and radio beds performed with Alex Smith Band, Ian Moss Band, Moving Pictures, 24 Strings, Bob Corbett & the Roo Grass Band, Mark Wells, Bliss, Special Branch, Loonatic Fringe, Love That Hat, and The Funbusters.

You only have to watch Dave for 5 minutes to know that he loves performing. When Dave isn’t plugging away at his original projects, he can often be seen, and heard, singing songs from The Beatles, to Eagle Eye Cherry, and a whole lot of stuff, new, old, and in between.

Dave’s debut album that dropped late last year has been described as both Insightful and organic. You can hear a sample below.

Catch Dave this weekend at Lambton Park Hotel from 7:30pm on Friday September 19 and again at the Iron Horse Inn at 8:30pm on Saturday, September 20.
