With Record Store Day just around the corner, we thought we’d take a look at what’s in store for Australian music loves on April 17.

In the age of digital download and streaming music, Record Store Day has become a beacon of hope for those who still relish in the act of heading to a shop to shuffle through racks of compact disks and vinyls in search of their new favourite artist. With 2014 making the 50th anniversary of Australia music icon Albert Productions, this year’s Record Store Day is set to be a big one for Aussies.

In celebration of 50 year’s, Albert Productions is set to re-release classic albums by The Easybeats, Stevie Wright, The Angels and Rose Tattoo. These albums won’t be just dumped on CD either. Don Bartley has remastered each release with care and skill from the original tapes with Albert Productions pressing a limited run of high quality 180gm vinyl especially for the big day.

Audiophiles take note, and we’ll see you on April 17!
