April heats up at Hamilton’s Sydney Junction Hotel

It’s another massive month at Hamilton’s biggest party house, The Sydney Junction Hotel and we’ve got all the info on what’s coming up in April!

APRIL 2 – PHASE III

Revamping hit songs with some “phase altering treatment” is a trademark of Phase lll. A classic combination of guitar, bass and drums with melodic vocals, harmonies and the sharp attack of 3 precise and quirky rockers bound for a good time all the time, Phase lll deliver the unexpected. Phase III are on stage from 9:30pm with the house DJ playing all the way until 3am.

APRIL 5 TUESDAY TRIVIA

APRIL 5 – SHOOTING MOLLY

Shooting Molly is a Newcastle, NSW based five member band exploring a diverse range of genres including rock, funk, reggae & blues. The band will be on stage from 9:30pm with the house DJ playing all the way until 3am.

APRIL 10 – UFC FIGHT

For Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao’s final fight, he is taking on an opponent who is desperate to avenge his only loss. Can boxing’s only eight-division world champion retire on top, or will Timothy ‘Desert Storm’ Bradley send the Pacman packing? Live coverage beings at 11am.

APRIL 12 – TUESDAY TRIVIA

APRIL 17 – THE YEARS

The Years are a six-piece rock band dedicated to playing only the best rock hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today. The band consists of former members from Baron as well as Vera Francisci who was the former lead vocalist from Nightshift. The Years are sure to keep the dance floor full and pumping all night! The band will be on stage from 9:30pm with the house DJ playing all the way until 3am.

APRIL 23 – HOT FOX

HOT FOX combines the talents of Rupert Jenner & Ty Penshorn from Little Hornet fame with the amazing talents of Vinny Crash from Love Child to complete the line up. The are huge on the entertainment factor, interact with the crowd & get involved to become one with the audience. The repetoire is high energy dance floor fillers + big chorus sing-a-longs ranging from 50’s + 60’s rock & roll to current top 40 hits plus featuring a healthy serving of 80’s classics. The band will be on stage from 9:30pm with the house DJ playing all the way until 3am.

APRIL 24 – THE VIPER CREEK BAND

Come and and get your socks rocked off by this awesome country music band. They believed that country music in Australia was ready for an exciting new sound and began writing songs, rehearsing, playing live and building a loyal fan base. The band will be on stage from 7pm. This is a free show!

APRIL 25 – ANZAC DAY 2UP

ANZAC DAY right here at SJ’s is going to be HUGE with our doors opening at 10am. The almighty Aussie 2-UP commences from midday. SJs have Newcastle’s biggest 2-UP ring. Offering a gigantic custom made 3meter x 3meter ring with actual Pennys.

Newcastle band, Hummingbirds will be on stage from 9pm with the house DJ playing until 3am close. Hummingbirds three/ four part harmonies will have you ‘humming’ there popular repertoire for days after. Some of these tunes include songs from artists such as – Bruno Mars, Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, Cold Chisel, Beatles, ACDC, Prince, KISS, Bon Jovi and Beyonce to name a few.

APRIL 26 – TUESDAY TRIVIA

APRIL 30 – HORNET

Hornet are a high energy, guitar-driven rock group, laying down a retro rock influences sound with a modern twist. Hornet’s successful style is simple, combining infectious tunes that girls love to dance to, with in-your-face rock. Hornet repeatedly wows audiences with their on stage energy and great mix of tunes.The band will be on stage from 9:30pm with the house DJ playing all the way until 3am.
