Groove to live music and Devour delicious food at Murray’s Brewery in Bob’s Farm this Easter!
Brewery owner, Murray Howe promises an egg-ceptional time at his annual Easter Blues, Brews & BBQ’s festival on Friday March 25 until Monday March 28.
For the first time visitors can enjoy a dual line-up of holiday brews – Murray’s Chocolate Easter Egg Beer AND its famous Hot Cross Bun Beer! Or for cider lovers, you can try Murray’s new AppleShack cider just released in the bottle.
Child prodigy, Kenny Jewel – who has played at festivals alongside Bob Dylan, Ben Harper and BB King (and btw, was the first person to circumnavigate the largest tidal saltwater lake in the Southern Hemisphere on a kayak) – will play the blues on Saturday. And on Easter Sunday, the amazing Lamplighters big band will perform their own flavour of blues in a dazzling outdoor show.
Kids can have great fun with dedicated activities on Easter Sunday morning, when Murray’s will run a special family fundraising event, Easter Sunday Kids Funday. Kids can enjoy a giant Easter egg hunt, Easter-themed arts and crafts, cupcake decorating, face painting and more, including a VIP visit from the Easter Bunny.
Parents are asked to make a $5 donation for each child participating in the morning’s activities, with 100% of proceeds donated to the local Chessum family whose 7 year old daughter Madison has a rare condition called West Syndrome. Developmentally, Madison is at new born baby stage. The Chessum’s are trying to raise money to have their family car modified so Madison’s wheelchair can go into the car so she can travel for treatment and care.
“Join us this Easter and you can enjoy a great family day out plus do some good for the local community at the same time,” said Brewery owner, Murray Howe. “Easter Ale is one of our most requested specialty beers and this year we’ve decided to go the whole hog and offer it up together with our delicious Chocolate Easter Egg Beer. Blues, Brews & BBQ’s is going to be amazing fun this year,” says Brewery owner, Murray Howe.
The festival is a tribute to flavour, fine tunes and family fun – and runs all Easter long weekend. It’s a great opportunity to sample a range of different craft beer styles and cider and also sample local and regional wines, view the brewer’s hops and vegetable gardens and learn how craft beer is made by taking a Brewery Tour.
A Brewery Bus is available on Easter Saturday and Sunday. Bookings are essential.
Murray’s Brewery’s large undercover facilities will ensure that most events will proceed – rain, hail or shine.
