Murray’s Brewery is getting in early and celebrating American Independence Day! On Saturday, July 2, the distinctive aromas, colours, flavours and sounds of America will be showcased at Murry’s Bobs Farm brewery and winery and will continue right across July.
Join patriots around the world with a trip to Murray’s this school holidays and embrace one of the world’s most popular beer styles, IPA’s (India Pale Ale). During their American celebration Murray’s will showcase 8 USA-themed beers, including the brewer’s hoppiest ever IPA and their first ever SMaSH beers.
The American vibe will be complemented with a series of FREE concerts through July.
3 July – Adam Gear plays rockabilly
10 July – Norm Bakker’s Elvis Tribute Show
17 July – Brien McVernon’s American Rock concert
24 July – Nano playing Latin American songs
31 July – Jim Overend performs popular American tunes.
The Murray’s kitchen will be in on the action too. The team will be serving up a finger-licking-good array of USA-themed food specials, such as the belly-busting, Elvis-inspired Fool’s Gold Burger filled with bacon, peanut butter and ‘jelly’. Or you can try a Dirty Wagyu Burger, or Hot Wings with Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce and lots, lots more.
“The Fourth of July is a significant national holiday. And while it’s usually associated with fireworks, parades and baseball games, we’re paying tribute through the release of some truly amazing-tasting American-style beers,” said brewery owner, Murray Howe.
Murray’s American Beer Month starts on Saturday 2 July, and runs through to 9 August (international IPA Day).
