World renowned guitarist and Novocastrian, Adam Miller will hit the stage at The Underground at The Grand Hotel tonight with his trio to showcase tracks from his latest release, Shifting Units.
Miller released his 5th studio album, ‘Shifting Units’ in September last year. The release was a huge offering of original compositions played on both acoustic and electric guitars, presented in two halves, ‘Shifting Units – With Friends’ and ‘Shifting Units – Solo’. ‘Shifting Units’ features the same original compositions essentially recorded twice. The album was well received with music lovers and critics alike.
Adam will be playing tracks from that album, and improvising a few others tonight (Feb 10) at The Underground at The Grand Hotel with musos Peter Gray (on bass guitar) and Dom “Donnie” Borzestowski (on drums).
The show is part of the Newcastle Improvised Music Association’s Tuesday Night Jazz series.
