The words used to describe the playing of local guitar sensation, Adam Miller by industry icons could fill a post all on their own. Adam Miller’s songs are bluesy, soulful, and heartfelt.  While he’s not lecturing in contemporary guitar at the University Of Newcastle’s Conservatorium of Music, he’s traveling the world inspiring, teaching an entertaining. Here’s 5 other things you may not know about this amazing local guitarist. 

 

1) Adam was named as one of ’25 Players Who Are Changing Guitar’ by  Australian Guitar Magazine

2) Adam’s album, ‘Delayed’ was named as one of the ‘essential albums of 2012’ by senior editor of Acoustic Guitar mag, Teja Gerken.

3) In 2010 adam was named “Guitarist Deserving Wider Recognition” by US based magazine, Guitar International. Check out this video to see why.

4) In 2002 Adam was named as the ‘Australian Fingerstyle Guitar Champion’ of the year. 

5) He does a kick arse cover of Sam Cooke’s seminal 1964 hit ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’.

Adam’s new album ‘Shifting Units’ releases on the 2nd of September with a Newcastle launch at The Underground,Grand Hotel at 8pm. Tickets are only $15!
