Wednesdays on Darby street never sounded so good. Last month popular Darby streeet venue, 5 Sawyers commenced their Wednesday night live music program and it was such a success, they’re doing it all over again in December.
Catch some of Newcastle’s best artists in an intimate and laid back setting from 8pm every Wednesday night. Check out the line up below to get a feel of what you can expect.
DECEMBER 2: Ryan Daley
Ryan’s music comprises smooth vocal lines, at times a natural & raw sound, with a blend of hypnotic acoustic melodies.
DECEMBER 9: Beth Gleeson
The quality of Beth’s vocals are impressive, fluent and clear. Pretty and delicate at one moment, powerful and bold the next. From unique takes on the latest indie-pop songs, to fresh versions of 70s classics, from the likes of Joni & Fleetwood, Beth has a way of interpreting songs that translates to all age groups.
DECEMBER16: James Osborn
Ever since a very young age, James has been destined for music and performing. Being able to sing ever since he could speak, and first picking up a guitar at the age of 7, his passion was recognised early on. Now at the age of 16, James has developed into a young, talented and enthusiastic singer/songwriter, with big plans for the future.
DECEMBER 23: Tom Buckley
Tom Buckley (Bucko), like a lot of musos, is a muso with a guitar and long hair. Tom’s also quite possibly the funniest and coolest muso in all of Newcastle, so he thinks. Tom’s passion for music started at very young age playing “La Bamba” in a nappy to his mum on a 2 string guitar. This passion has stuck with him and is fast making him a favourite in the local scene.
