Star Wars burlesque parody set to strip off at Civic Theatre

Newcastle Live -

Entertainment

Star Wars fever is upon us; the tension is thick, you can feel the force all around you, and to add to the excitement, the raunchy and rambunctious parody The Empire Strips Back is headed to the Civic Theatre on Thursday 18 February.

The Empire Strips Back takes the classic characters from the beloved Star Wars film franchise, and drops them into the world of burlesque, creating a show like no other.

Be amazed at Russall S. Beattie’s attention to detail in re-creating the magic and childhood wonder of the original three films, and then be thrilled as the childhood wonder is abolished by good old fashioned adult fun! Combining striptease, song and dance, troupe routines and comedy, this show is truly destined to deliver you to the dark side.

Expect some seriously sexy stormtroopers, a dangerously seductive Boba Fett, tantalising Twi’leks, a Darth with a different kind of dark side, a delightfully luke-warm Taun Taun, a lady-like Skywalker, the Droids you are looking for and much, much more!

“… an extravagant, fantastical melange of burlesque stylings performed exquisitely by the ladies – good adult fun taking  suggestive subtexts of the film and running a mile with them..” – Deborah Hawke

If you are a lover of Star Wars or rollickingly good entertainment, then this show is for you. It’s not a trap!
