The Cambridge is in the middle of some serious renovations, which are quite the shock as you walk into the band room. The beer garden that uni students have spent many a nights chain-smoking and double-parking cheap drinks is no more; it’s been replaced with a raised, concreted area. There are a few other major changes that have been made, and they are still clearly mid-renovation – but the changes look promising, and watching the bands from the new upper level was a treat.
