REVIEW: Zoe K, Holly Clayton and Adam Miller at Lizotte’s

27 Sep , 2016

Zoe K

For those in the know, there is perhaps no duo with better on stage chemistry than Holly Clayton and Adam Miller. The Novocastrians treated the Friday night crowd at Lizotte’s to a very rare performance of covers, ‘Holly Who’ favourites and even some brand new material. For those who haven’t yet seen Holly or Adam in action, track their schedule down and do so immediately, they are truly electric. On stage Holly lights up the entire room and then some ,and her charismatic, warm and humbly confident presence is infectious. Adam is incredibly stoic and focused yet enthusiastically vibrant on guitar, playing with the absolute gusto of a full band. Their cover of Eric Clapton and Babyface’s ‘Change the World’ made my heart swell with admiration and appreciation for the music they love to play together. Holly Who fans recognised some stand out, stripped back favourites such as ‘Peace in my Soul’ and ‘Let you Fall’, overall, a really great performance. More…
